every year we attend the demolition derby in brenham.
this year we decided to use my expiring free hotel stay at a marriott.
we found a super nice marriott in college station so we speny the night
there the night before. so nice! 2 bedrooms, living room, and kitchen.
every room had a huge LCD tv. it was amazing.
i never knew hotels could be so nice. we had a blast.
the next day we were hoping for a corn maze, but it was closed.
we went to the pumpkin patch to raise money for the university instead.
we got a huge pumpkin we had all month.
it was also super cool to drive around college station. cute college town.
it was a beautiful day, so we went to a near by lake to walk around before
having to drive to the derby. this looked so pretty.
until you started walking. the burrs were HUGE and sharp. i had like 40 on each sock and shoe.
the boys were pretty sad. they were so sharp you couldn't even get them out with your fingers,
you had to use a stick. crazy.
we made it out of that field and hiked around the lake. and saw some deer!
the boys loved that.
finally made it to the derby! they moved it up a week, which wasn't so great, because
it was hot. normally we're freezing which is fun for a fall activity. but it was pretty warm.
during intermission the boys decided to do the limbo. grant did it a lot of times.
they were so cute out there.
we had a lot of fun! we love our October tradition.
