more beach

more huntington beach

huntington beach

oh the memories. huntington beach was where we always went growing up, and jason and i went there when we were dating. such great memories. we all went to back to have a bonfire and it was a great way to end the trip.

balboa

we loved this beach. very kid friendly yet big enough waves for adults too. i can see why people are drawn to california. it's so fun and beautiful there.

dad going in to snorkel.

pictures of what it looks like for jason.

cozi enjoying his day at balboa...

deep sea fishing

while we were there, we went deep sea fishing. it was a blast even though we didn't catch a thing! everything was provided - the boat, poles, hooks, fishing license, and even live fish bait. good thing my dad was willing to bait my hook. i was the only one who refused to stick some live fish with a hook through the eye. yuck. we had a lot of fun despite not catching anything. the water was so calming and these sea lions would follow the boat. they were neat to see swim in the water. i liked them until they would bite your bait half off so you couldn't catch anything and had to bring your line in and re-bait it. it was then i wished i had a harpoon...

uncle ken was so nice to read to the boys.

grant and maddox had a blast putting each other in these dog cages.

this was hilarious. grant begged to go on the pony ride, then as soon as the pony started walking, he FREAKED! he cried and begged to get down. i had to walk along with him as everyone watching thought i was torturing my child.

maddox had fun.

trip to CA

grant and i went to california to visit his grandparents and my little sister dianne. ken and his family came too, with his wife kerri and their sons maddox and bennett. susan was also there with her youngest son cozi. we had a great time with everyone, but i think grant and maddox had the best time by far. grant loved having another 2 yr old to play with.

*note - grant fell down the cement steps 2 hours after getting to grandma and grandpa's house - hence why his face looks pretty beat up in all these pictures.*

grant and cozi

grant loved throwing apples for my parent's dogs

sunset beach with sand that stuck to sunscreen like no other. grant got knocked down by a rough wave and wasn't not interested in going in the water like he does here in texas.

a day at the beach

it's been my job to update the blog while jason is traveling the globe. here's some pictures of our day at the beach, only about an hour from our house. we love going to the beach. grant has a blast, jason loves boogieboarding, and i love the sun.

Cutest kid ever

what can i say? look at this face.
