grant, grant, grant...

this kid cracks me up on a daily basis.

he's an awesome big brother and even better friend -

i don't know how i'm going to survive when he eventually goes to school.

he was being especially funny one day while

we were making cookies, so i got out the camera.

i love his long hair and funny faces.

so he's learned how to close his eyes at the

exact moment the picture is taken. oh grant....

grant, grant, grant...

i guess i should be mad but it's actually quite

a feat he can do it so many times in a row.

(and there were a lot of them)

i don't think i could do that.

then jason cut his hair.

oh and he's also learned how to make this

dead face at the last minute...very attractive.

he's so cute and funny and kind. what a great kid.

why everyone needs a little brother...

surfing

last weekend we went surfing and saw some GREAT waves.

no one was there but surfers. and us.

i despise pictures of me surfing, but jason made me post one.

just focus on all the cute pictures of the boys. :)

first beach trip of the season

the first beach trip of the season was a few weekends ago. my dad was in galveston for work, so we went to the beach during the day, and met up with him at night for dinner. it was sort of chilly that day - we couldn't keep the boys out of the water but they'd come out eventually shaking with blue lips! the boys love the sand and waves, and we love surfing, so it's a perfect saturday activity for us. we didn't have the surfboard this day but we should have. the waves were great.

grant loves the water and we were wondering

how chase would like it - looks like we have two fish

we had to be careful because chase would walk out all the way

without stopping, until he was floating

we haven't found a floaty that works for him yet

crazy kid - he needs more fear

grant loves to boogie board. he seriously spends

the entire day in the water - we hardly see him!

after chase gets knocked around in the waves a few times,

he loves to wander around and talk to all the people

playing in the sand is always fun

and jason built a sand packnplay because we forgot ours

here's what you have to be careful of if

you turn your back for even a second....

we had such a fun time. let's hear it for a summer of beach going!!

Easter

we don't have a lot of good pictures from easter. maybe it was

the early time, maybe it was that we both wanted to see

the boys be excited, but regardless, we had fun.

we started off with an easter egg hunt at the park with friends

then fun at home with easter eggs and baskets and a hunt.

grant cracks me up!

what can i say, he had a great time

chase found one egg, realized candy was inside, and

then wasn't interested in anything else
