christmas

my favorite time of year!

we had to go to 3 places to find a tree. because of travel, we got it later than we normally do, and everywhere was pretty picked over. grant cried after leaving each place. i'm usually really picky about how full it is, how green it is, no bare spots, etc, but i was just thankful to get one that wasn't half dead and only 3 ft tall.

and you know what? he's perfect. and so fragrant. i love him.

(and if you have a not so perfect tree, read this story that i love)

putting on the lights - it's jason's year to have colored lights
(i like white lights so we switch off every year.)

chase and grant being so excited for the tree and being SO helpful
while we try to get that dang thing not to be crooked

as i expected, chase just can't leave the tree alone.
he just can't believe there are lights right within his reach.

picture with santa - grant cracks me up
i heard santa say to grant - "wow, that is a lot of things!"

chase just wasn't sure why this guy had so much facial hair....
(we had to pull chase off his lap before he pulled his beard right off!
the kids behind us would have had quite a shock...)

decorating the tree with ornaments

can you tell where grant's spot was?
he wanted to hang everything on one single branch.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
hope you have a great holiday season

Shelving in Jon's Garage

Before I get into any of it. Just wanted to tell Jon thanks for having me out to your house. It's always fun to spend time with you. Love ya bro.

ok... now onto the pictures (excuse the crappy res--i only had my phone with me).

Here's the crew
Jon's excited. Can you tell?
Locked and loaded.
Here's skipping to the finished product starting at the left and going around the garage.
note the custom built in space between the shelving where callie can open the door on her 12 passenger van. and she'll never forget to bring her "green" shopping bags to the grocery store anymore since they're right there near her. also a sneak peek of the glorious peg board.
tadaaaaaaaaaaaaa
here's my bike hanging skillz:
the treadmill used to face outside and jon would put his laptop on top of the fridge and turn his head sideways to watch a movie while running. Not anymore! There's a built in shelf just for his laptop.
and don't forget all of those tools too large for a peg board. had to make a place for those as well. love them J hooks.
This was even more vivid in real life. I saw so many yellows, oranges, and reds, it'd make your head spin.
