i might as well blog...

i miss jason. he's only been gone 7 hours. *sigh* the hardest time is when grant goes to bed. then what?

grant makes me laugh. poor guy was sad all morning while jason was packing. he even came up to me and said "i go work daddy on plane. you stay here mama."

on another note, our garden is growing like mad. thank you jason for covering the raised beds so the birds/squirrels/other critters don't eat everything before we do. we are already harvesting peas and green beans, and the carrots will be ready soon. the tomatoes and peppers have a while yet. i love seeing things grow. it makes me so happy.

rainy weekend

6 inches of rain in one weekend. i love how everything today is so clean and refreshed. and a free car wash! you can't beat that.

rainy days are hard for us - mostly grant, because he normally spends 80% of his day outside. and he especially doesn't like being told "no, you can't go outside with your metal tricycle in the lightening."

here's what the rain did to our street when the drain backed up.

the flood only lasted about 20 minutes but it was fun to see.

where does the time go????

for lola

grant got easter cookie cutters and sprinkles from lola (jason's mom) and he was dying to use them. so i made sugar cookies quick on easter morning and then we took them to mike and maria's house to decorate (after they so nicely made us a wonderful easter dinner). yum!

we dyed eggs, had an easter egg hunt, got fun presents, and talked about Jesus.

any time Grant sees an egg now he yells "easter bunny come!"

#1 - happy birthday to me

(i told jason i wanted shoes for my birthday and i finally found some i like)

#2 - i know i make bread a lot, but this loaf came out so nice looking i had to take a picture.

#3 - i just started following a cool craft-oriented blog, and she has these two crafts on her site. i wish i was better at sewing because i LOVE the easter eggs. you can see both of these here.
