October break! We had a relaxing week here. The plan was for
Grant to have his wisdom teeth out, but the office flooded, so it got moved to
Christmas break. We started off going to Chase's freshman graduation for
AFJROTC. It was neat to see him in uniform and marching on the field. We saw
nice waves in the Gulf so we headed down for a surfing day. We love the beach! Everyone is happy there. The kids played in water for hours and Claire just can't get enough of the waves or the sand. Even after 5-6 hours, she's always saying "we're leaving already?" It was really cool to see both boys finally getting good at surfing! When we bought these boards years ago, we always thought it'd be so fun to see our kids surf, and they were doing it!
On the cool weather
day, we headed to the local wooded park/lake to explore. We saw deer and squirrels, and blue heron on the lake. It was a beautiful day, sunny and around 65 degrees.
We had a fabulous time sleeping in,
riding bikes (Claire got a new one after hers broke), shopping for Halloween
costumes (Claire is scared of the huge decorations that move!) and overall, just relaxing. Unfortunately, now it's back to school
and real life. Only 6 weeks until Thanksgiving break!
