My Freaking AWESOME Family

and THIS boy . . . is the cutest boy EVER!!!!!!

Rodeo 2010

Howdy! From the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo!!!! I love this time of the year. The weather is mild, and the BBQ is in the air.
The food is amazing--mostly heart killers, but there's good stuff too like this caramel apple. YUM!
But this brick of rench fries is famous, and irresistible. Some things you just gotta suck it up and do anyway. :D

The petting areas are so fun. Kangaroos, deer, llamas, pigs, goats, bunnies, mules, and sheep to name a few.
This was, by far, Grant's favorite part of the whole thing. We went on this two times in a row. Note to self, go to the parade next year and buy tickets at 50% off. ;) Still worth it. Look at his hand up raising the roof.

Camping

So for those who have me on their fb, you'll see I recently went camping with the Boy Scouts (Deacons) and we did some shotgun, .22's, and tomahawk throwing the following day. Fun times for me, but not Grant. Apparently he cried a lot once he woke up from his nap and found out I had already left and I was going camping without him.

So I came home on Saturday at about 5 PM (before the hour change) and raced to setup the camping stuff from the car into the backyard so Grant and I could have our own campout. It was pretty dang fun too. We did hot dogs (well, chicken/turkey dog for me with mozzarella, artichoke, and garlic), hot chocolate, and marshmallows.

We even read the critter book called, "Just Me and My Dad," as we laid there in the cold tent. It was seriously a great campout. Well, minus the screaming out of NOwhere in the middle of the night . . . he yelled, "I want OATmeal!!!!!"

???

What can he say, he likes it.
