Air Show

Our camera totally died when we got there before any of the real flights started. Juuuuuuuuuust GREAT. Our video camera had a tape in it from LAST CHRISTMAS (you can tell how often we use it) and it only had 4 minutes of tape left in it. Double juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuust great!

Here's some of what I WAS able to capture before the battery died on me. This first one is an old war bird!
They had a TON of Japanese planes for the Pearl Harbor reenactment they performed.
I love how you can see the engines in the circle here. I've heard of V-6, straight 4, etc., but never seen a circle formation.
Here's my dream helicopter.
This was the craziest plane I've ever seen. It's HUGE. I'm not even sure what it's for. Can this thing really fly???
THIS plane was aMAZing to watch. A . . . MA . . . zing.
Side view of same plane as above.
Apache!

Halloween

Halloween this year was definitely one to remember. Let's start off with what Grant was supposed to be--He-Man. Well, Prince Adam--since He-Man is mostly naked. So here's a picture of Prince Adam:We were growing his hair out for months in anticipation for this night. His hair was SO long. To keep the excitement up, we watched an episode EVERY night this week even though it was past his normal bedtime! AWEsome.
We kept some of his awesome blond hair.
Look at that mug!
Here's He-Man and Kringer

Skeletor and He-Man
Carving Pumpkins!
Top: Mom's, Bottom left is Jason's, bottom right is Karen's/Grant's.
During this Fall season, we spruced up the house by doing some fun stuff. I added some MUCH needed under cabinet lights to the kitchen!!! And let me tell you WHAT. These are installed just as good as or better than ANY contractor could put in.
Karen added to the feel the house by making a bunch of hanging bats and decorating with pumpkins and fall leaves.
This isn't even most of the day!!! Most of our day was spent at the Wings over Houston 25th Anniversary Air Show staring the Blue Angles!!!! (next post)

getting ready for halloween

we're getting excited around here.
here's grant helping me get the halloween decorations out

and jason making fruit rolls ups while we decorate

we'll be cutting grant's hair soon for his halloween costume -
so i wanted to document his long hair before we do

grant dressing up again??? i found him like his in our bathroom

he's always dressing up pretending to fix things
(like his cool scooter from grandma and grandpa that he rides around the house)

his face in this picture kills me - he's so funny

i'm working on putting his costume together. jason's mom (Lola) who is living with us for a while found the PERFECT dark purple velvet leotard for his costume. i can't wait!

fun times being a stay at home mom

projects

we've been busy. here's the toddler blanket i made for grant (don't look too close, it's my first one and that satin is tough to work with). we also painted grant's room. i go in there every day and smile. it's the perfect color of blue and i often wish it was my room...

Party

grant's birthday party was a blast. we played pin the tail on the donkey, blew bubbles, squirted each other with squirt guns, ate cake, opened presents, and played non stop for an hour. 3 year olds are hilarious. thank you to dad for drawing a donkey for us!
