Christmas and Christmas Break

The boys had 2.5 weeks off and Jason had quite a few days he was off and
could work from home, which made for a long, AWESOME, fun, Christmas
vacation. And it was actually cold this year, so we could do some fun cold weather
things. We had a blast doing all our traditions and watching movies and drinking
hot chocolate, having fires, and of course enjoying Christmas and each other.
Christmas is so fun with kids, and especially little kids!!!

The boys as usual were so good with Claire, and she LOVED
having her brothers home to play with.

We're about to meet Santa, and poor Claire seemed excited, but really wasn't.
It didn't help it was WAY past her bedtime.

Gingerbread house!!

Attending church on Christmas Eve

 Christmas morning!!

New bikes! They were hiding secretly in the garage. Surprise!!

  New swing!

Calling our families....

Christmas day was a beautiful cool sunny day so we were outside a lot.
Claire loved this swing the most! And the branches from our tree trimming
earlier in the week. Who needs toys when you have leaves and sticks? ;)

Trying out the new fishing poles...

Our tradition of a silly string war! The boys absolutely LOVE this.

We had such a fun vacation. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

SNOW!!!

it's snowed!!!!
so it's a rare event, but once in a while it will snow in texas. and it's SO fun.
of course it's not real thick lasting snow like in snowy states, but we'll take it!

we woke up Friday morning and it had snowed an inch or two.
the boys were soooo excited!!! the news had said it might snow. we woke
them up early so they could play in it before school. we thought school might
be cancelled, since it often is if it snows or gets icy at all here, but no such luck.

we still had so much fun!!! made snowballs and a snowman
and had a snowball fight. claire thought the snow felt WAY too cold
on her fingers! she was funny! it took a few hours to melt and it looked so pretty.

such fun to have snow near Christmas in Texas!!!
