we spent a weekend with jason's childhood friend in austin, tx.
we had a great time. it was freakishly cold, but great to see them and visit with them.
the best thing about mr. todd's house is his pet turtles.
they boys are trying to coax them from their corners to feed them.
it was amazing how fast he moved after he figured out we had food...
jason decided to get in on the action. cherry tomatoes are their favorite....
the smaller one was more shy, and wouldn't come out, so todd took matters into his own hands....
the next day we decided to go hiking. todd showed us this lake that was very dry
due to the drought. it was crazy that we were walking where normally boats and
water- skiers are.

this was little boy heaven. rocks, plants, dirt, water....they had fun.
we decided to cross on this log. it was the only way. thankfully no one fell in!
going back up to the car. running sure is fun!
