Day 5, part 1

Well, Tuesday. What a day. We started out by heading down to Waikiki just so we could at least say we stopped by and saw it. We started on the West portion of the beach front hotels along the beach, and made our way all the way down to the far eastern side. Then, walked along the sidewalk all the way back and did some minor shopping at the local ABC stores. Here's a picture of my footprints.

This is some random guy who's lucky enough to be sitting on the beach some morning in May. This is weird to see like, NO one on Waikiki. It was fairly early though. Like--8 AM?

Here's a classic picture of the palm tree view on the main strip of Ala Moana headed through Waikiki.

After eating breakfast again at the Wailana Coffee place and getting our fill of coconut pancakes, we took a tripi the the International Festival to look for some stuff for some friends of ours in Houston. We didn't see ANYthing of worth there though. It was right when they all opened so hardly ANYone was there so perhaps we just caught it at a bad time of the day. At least we got our picture there though ; ). Too bad the Tourist who took our picture doesnt know how to take pictures--he cut off the words in the sign!

We ended up heading towards the eastward (windward) side of the island until we hit the Sea Life Park. On our way in that direction, we always passed this house that Karen wants to buy someday. Look at the weirdo window on the far right hand side above the garage area. It's very Piccaso-ish.<
