January fun

January is a busy month for us. School starts again and we have two birthdays!

The boys having fun playing with their Christmas presents...

Grandma and Grandpa brought us this big box. Chase asked Jason to put wheels on it.
There have been so many adventures with this box and the neighborhood kids.

Birthday #1 - CHASE! I can't believe he's 6. How did that happen??? He's the
best dressed 6 year old I know. We love his great personality. He still loves to sing,
is still obsessed with scary things, and is so friendly and sweet. We love every day
with him and he keeps us laughing all the time. Happy Birthday Chase!

He asked to not go to school on his birthday so I let him and Grant stay home.

First up - opening presents.

Haha - I got him princess fruit snacks. He hates princess stuff so it's our running
joke that we get him something princess-y....he's such a good sport.
He LOVES candy so we got him lots of candy.

His big present were these bildopolis fort making cardboard things.
He saw this at his cousins house and loved them.

Breakfast! He's such a pyro, so we let him play with matches on his birthday.
Supervised of course.

He is quite the builder too, so we got him some new building toys and some legos.
The boys had fun trying out all the new toys.

He also got a rope ladder for the tree - another hit with not only our boys but
the entire neighborhood! It's been hanging in our tree for weeks now.
I'm just waiting for that HOA letter....hahaha.

He also loves gardening, so we got him a small garden for his room
that grows in winter. We'll see how it does.

Then it was time to meet Dad for games and lunch at Chuck-e-cheese!!!
We actually went to McDonalds first since that is Chase's favorite.
But they boys LOVE playing all the games at Chuck-e-cheese.

JACKPOT!

This was a new game and Jason and Grant were obsessed with it. They must
have stood there for hours trying to get 100 tickets.

We made a rainbow cake....

And Chase wanted a Zombie on it. And he wanted to help.

More candles after dinner....

Happy birthday Chase!!! We love you!

A few days later, it was Jason's birthday!!!!! We celebrated Saturday because it fell on
a Sunday and I knew it would be crazy with meetings and church.

Jason opening presents - lots of tools, some treats, electronics, and
some bike accessories. Oh and some Bob Marley t shirts.

Then we took him to a new breakfast place. He loves breakfast food.

Then the boys wanted to take him bowling. It was their first time! It was fun.

After coming home and relaxing, we made Filipino beef steak for dinner.
And then had a second cake! Yum!

Happy birthday to the best dad, husband, and friend around!
