utah trip part 2

the second place we took the boys was nunn's park.
one of the first places jason and i went when we first met.
we were hoping to hike in to see bridal veil falls, but it had big no trespassing signs.
the best part of being here in February is that everyone was in school.
we had all these places to ourselves. we were looking for a place to take the boys
where they could explore deep snow, and this place was a HUGE hit for that.

grant was obsessed with finding icicles.

look how deep the snow is!

the boys loved throwing snow....

until of course it got in someone's eye (you have to blow this up
and look at grant's face - HILARIOUS)

we tried to dig a snow cave for chase....

grant really wanted to climb a mountain.
so we let him go up as far as we dared.

grant would look hot sometimes, so i'd help him take his hat off.
and man, his hair would be WET with sweat.
who knows why he didn't tell me - having too much fun?

the scenery here was so beautiful - i wonder how cold that water is!

we tried one more day at rock canyon, but the snow
was beginning to melt. we still had fun making snowballs.

you have to blow up this picture - chase's face is priceless.

we were fortunate enough to have an awesome friend
watch the boys so we could ski at sundance on valentine's day.
so much fun and so beautiful!!

the last day there jason went skiing with our good friend justin
at brighton and and we hung around provo, packed the car,
and bought treats for the loooong ride home.

making our last snowmen at a park on center street

this was also at the park, not sure why it was there.

we had a great time. it was fun seeing family and old friends,
and the snow!! can't wait for next year!
