Another fabulous Christmas break! The best part by far was having Grant home! It was so fun to have him here for 2 weeks. We had a wonderful Christmas church service on Sunday, then spent a few days baking and delivering cookies - while a few others of us were quarantined with the flu. That was no fun, but what can you do. Then it was Christmas eve and we played reindeer games, looked at lights, talked about Christ, and put our stockings out, and then had a wonderful Christmas day enjoying gifts and talking to our extended families.
After Christmas, we
traveled up to Missouri to visit Silver Dollar City, to see their 6.5 million
lights! It was so amazing. The day started out at 72 degrees, but a cold front
quickly blew in and by about 4 pm, was already down to 50 degrees! We were freezing!
We had to get our coats from the car and I can't believe it, but we made it to
9 pm, one of the only families in the park enjoying the lights and rides in 25
degree weather. The next day we visited the original Bass Pro before heading
home. We enjoyed a few more days with Grant celebrating New Years with
fireworks and smores before he had to be back in Idaho. It was a great
Christmas!!!
