Halloween

We had a fabulous Halloween and fall break. It was beautiful weather for the week we had off school, so we went to the park, a nature center, a pumpkin patch that had animals, a train, pony rides, and lots of other fun things, and we played a lot outside at parks. We did a lot of outdoor things to avoid crowds and people.

We also had a great Halloween day, despite the craziness of 2020. We carved pumpkins and ate dinner in a pumpkin, and made cookies, and also built a candy chute for trick or treaters! We were trying to think of a way to pass out candy and stay away from people. It was so fun, Jason was in the tree and as kids yelled trick or treat, he'd send it down the chute! It was very popular, and he had a lot of people ask to take his picture.

The kids and I went trick or treating, and it was nice that people really made an effort to stay socially distant yet still have fun for the kids. It was nice to have a semi-normal holiday to remember. Claire was SO exited to be a unicorn and get candy. She's been asking everyday "is today the day we cut up the pumpkins?" It was so cute. On Halloween night, she talked to everyone she say, and would say "do you like my costume? Isn't it great? I love it! Do you like it? I'm a unicorn!" It was so cute. 4 year olds are the best!

Hope you had a safe and fun Halloween!
