our yearly trip to grandma and grandpa's house!
poole's mill fun
the boys were old enough to jump off the tree this year!
grant playing with cousin megan
Tallulah George! Absolutely beautiful. I warned the boys (who are deathly scared of heights)
a few weeks before that we were going on a suspension bridge here, and to somehow figure
out how to be brave. they did awesome! well chase was fine, grant was ok until we got
midway through and he felt it move. then the freaking out began, but it didn't last long.
it was a beautiful place though, and would be awesome to go in the fall time.

can you see chase? he was the first one out there!
here we are! megan was a little nervous, and grant is almost peeing his pants here. :)
it was hot, so me and my parents and the boys went back after the bridge.
megan and jason hiked further down to see this waterfall up close. amazing!
back up at the top!
at the top, just past the dam, you can go swimming. it was a nice place to cool off.
grant saw his first fish in the water with his mask! yay!
random fun times at grandma's and grandpa's - eating watermelon and flinging
it all over the kitchen by accident....
their jet bath....
dr. jason making everyone try grandma's new blood pressure machine....
hike! one of the favorite things for the boys is to go hiking around the property.
with grandpa of course who finds them creatures and fish and fun things.
we had to stop and kick these "wish makers" for a while...we've never seen so many!
the arena! this provides lots of fun entertainment. and exercise! making the
dogs and cousins do obstacles, catching frogs, playing in the sand....it's total little boy fun!

amicalola creek. a fun place to go. we met my brother and his kids here, and it was
fun to swim down the falls and play with cousins. the water is so much colder
than in houson!
you can see the boys floating down the river!
chase wanting to keep up with the older boys...he could have, but we left his life jacket at
tallulah george, so he didn't have one... :( and he was shivering like crazy!
it was so cute to see these cousins chat and eat snacks and hang out...
on the last day we took my brother's family back to poole's mill. we took
tubes this time, which greatly increased the fun. though i did completely
flip over backwards and hit my head, but it was at the end and
it wasn't too hard.
we even convinced grandma to go down! i'm soooo glad she made it down safely!
(this was before i knew about the treacherous part and not to go backwards down it)
i love Jason in this picture....
we had chase wear grant's life jacket - we figured that was better than nothing!
it actually worked out really well.
chase got brave enough to jump off the tree! i had to swim over and help him climb up.
