For the 4th of July, we took a week and went to Missouri. The fireworks weren't
under the arch (again) so we decided to go to Branson. We had so much fun!
Rides, shows, fun things to do - we just had a great time. We went to Silver Dollar City,
White water, then tried to go caving. The rest of the time we stayed at our friends
house in Columbia, MO. We had a great time.
We arrived earlier than we expected, so we went on a hike to stretch from
being in the car since 3 am. We got hot and we think bitten by chiggers, but it
was soooo beautiful!!!
Silver Dollar City! We didn't know so many of the rides were water ones.
We were soaked most of the day, but it was so hot and fun we didn't mind.
The boys each got to pick a souvenir. Chase picked mining for minerals. Both boys
were absolutely enthralled. They thought this was the best thing ever.
One of the favorite rides was this pirate ship you get to shoot people with water guns.
Afterwards, you can shoot other people still on the ride. Jason and Grant must have
spent 20 min here shooting people. They had a blast.
So we went back to the mining place, where each boy wanted to spend money they
had at home ($8) mining again for crystals. They really really loved this activity.
a haunted house where they had this room that was crooked....sort of made you sick....
Caving! Well, trying to cave. This is the spot you are supposed to drive across.
Missouri's had a lot of rain, can you tell? So we just hiked around and visited an abbey.
After driving to Columbia, we went to this park/cave place near their home.
It was so beautiful.
4th of July - we had fun lighting off fireworks and then staying up for the show we could
see from their driveway. It was so much fun. Josh and Tracie and their family
were so good to us - had an awesome dog and kids and a beautiful new house.
It was so great to see them.
Happy 4th of July!
