Rodeo!

it's rodeo time in Houston! and it's the first year chase can ride a sheep!

(i should probably clarify - we just do the carnival and livestock show and
mutton bustin. we don't actually go to the rodeo at night. though i think
next year they'll be olde enough to try it out.)

we were so lucky to go on a beautiful day. jason planned it and he did great -
it was probably one of the only days that it was cool and breezy and sunny.
(we've had soooooo many rainy days. it rained every day of spring break)

but the day we went downtown, it was perfect. we had a fabulous time!

the boys getting excited to go in!

one of the first things we go to is the mutton bustin'.
we were early, so we did a quick ride waiting for it to start.

chase being so brave! he had an awesome ride!
and he was definitely the best dressed rodeo rider out there. ;)

grant and i cheered him on! actually, he stayed on the longest, so the
crowd went wild when he was going! it was great!

the only kid not crying!

go chase!

after the fun of the muttin bustin', we hit up the carnival. the boys love the rides.

last year the ferris wheels were closed and chase was so sad. this year
he was big enough to ride the HUGE one with jason. he LOVED it.

more rides.....

this is basically the tea cup ride at disneyland. the boys LOVE going with dad who
makes it turn super fast and everyone feels sick. it's become a tradition now.

they decided to ride a camel this year instead of a pony.

grant and i in the petting zoo, which we love.

mmmmmm......cotton candy.

it was a long fun day.....(and no, we didn't plan the green shirts...)

with all their prizes from the carnival. this was the first year to do games and they loved it.
good thing jason is good at games, so he could win them some of these!
