Day 4, part 5

We decided to stop and get something to eat after visiting Lanikai cause we were STARVING! We ended up at this pizza shop.


After seeing the two single best beaches of O'ahu, we headed back over to see if Hanauma Bay was open (it's pretty much closed from 9 AM to noon because it fills up so quickly). So here are some pictures of the views on the way back from Kailua area to Hanuama Bay.

After seeing Hanuama Bay, we took a ride through the Liki Liki highway to get home, and it was BEAUTIFUL!

More of Lanikai:I found watching the water trickle past me fascinating. I could watch that for hours. I think it's because its just a simple thing. The water is just doing it's thing.

To get from the street to the beach (you can't see the beach from the street), just drive along the one way road that circles the Lanikai community. Once you go all the way around and are on the opposite side you came in on, pass about 4 of the public walkways to the beach. The public walkways are inbetween every so many houses (generally 3-4 houses). Here's a sign indicating its a public walkway to the beach.This is what one of the walkways looks like.And here's what you get if you make your little stroll down the walkway!
