Our second adventure of the summer was participating in the Paddle Georgia Canoe Trip with Karen's dad and our cousins. It was a fun 4 days of paddling in cypress filled lakes and creeks and the final day in the ocean. It was so great that 17 people in our family could be there together. There were a lot of water gun fights to keep cool, jumping off trees into the water, and splashing and racing each other. We also camped, fished, caught frogs, and seined with Grandpa. We made great memories, learned a lot about steering a canoe (🤣), and had a ton of fun!
After that was over we headed to Karen's parents house in Georgia to see Karen's mom and Jason joined us. We had more fun celebrating the 4th of July with cousins and a steam engine parade and lots of great food. We ended the week at Amicalola Falls for a great mountain view and waterfall.
We had a fabulous 10 days and it was so good to see our family and make memories together.
