We had a wonderful Christmas season. We love this time of year and even though most days it was 85 degrees, we still had a great time. We watched Claire re-arrange the tree multiple times every day, she loves the sparkly ornaments the best. She loved looking for our elf, Buddy, every day and loved to sing the Christmas carols she was learning in preschool. We all got to go to her preschool Christmas program and she was so cute! We got to see Santa a few times - at her school, at our church party, and driving around our neighborhood. We got to go downtown to see the light displays which I loved. We often would walk the neighborhood too, to see all the lights - our neighbors went all out this year! We made a gingerbread house and made 10 loaves of bread and 5 plates of treats to hand out to friends and neighbors. The kids' most favorite is ding dong ditching people, even though it's tough with door bell cameras!
Christmas eve we got to go to our friends property about 2 hours away and play in the dirt, play with their dogs, ride ATV's, tour their land, and have a fire. It was so fun to see them and the kids had a blast. Christmas day didn't disappoint, with everyone getting things they wanted. It was a beautiful, magical season.
We feel so blessed to be a family and to have each other. We are so grateful for the Christmas season, where we can think about others and also spend time together. We hope you had a wonderful holiday!
