My favorite time of the year! We love Christmas around here. The lights,
the gifts, the service, the tree, all the decorations and goodwill...it's such an
incredible time of year. We had such a great holiday season. We can't believe it
is all over and school is back in session! It seems to always go by so fast.
We had a great few weeks off. We did a lot of our annual traditions - getting
a live tree, making gingerbread houses, cookies, and ding dong ditching people
with treats we thought could use a little pick me up over the holiday season. We
picked out gifts for each other, celebrated with Grandpa and Grandma, watched
movies and played games. After the holiday we went hiking and fishing, seining
and bird watching, and had a great time together. We hope you had a great holiday
season and are looking forward like we are to another wonderful year!
Claire was SO excited to see Santa. She really wanted a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
she saw in an Amazon mailer the boys were reading one day.
And Santa delivered!! ;)
Picking out a tree! It always takes longer than we think....
Claire LOVED the tree. She spent time every day rearranging it, grouping ornaments by size
and shape and feel....it was so cute. I probably have 100 pictures of her doing this. I
couldn't resist, look at that face! And that hair! It was the cutest!!!
She also LOVED finding the elf everyday
Gingerbread house time!
Grandma and Grandpa came! We had so much fun with them for the week.
Jason trying out his new portaledge...
It was beautiful weather while they were here, we really lucked out
We went on a lot of walks, explored new streams and forests near by...
we had a lot of fun with them.
More exploring...
And of course Christmas day was fabulous
The boys got kayaks for Christmas, so we of course wanted to try them out
Another day we wanted to try seining where we put the kayaks in...
One guess who likes seining with Grandpa the most.... ;)
Fishing another day....
We had a wonderful holiday season. Hope you did too!!
