Happy 4th of July!

We visited Missouri with Karen's parents for the 4th of July. It was a great trip!
We started in Branson, where we did lots of fun things. We ended up in St Louis to
watch the fireworks over the Mississippi River while sitting under the arch. It was
such a cool experience to take our kids back to the festival where Jason and his family
used to watch fireworks. We made some great memories!

We got there late in the day so we ate dinner at the Dixie Stampede.
The kids loved the dinner and show!

Chase got picked to lasso!!

After sitting in the car and at the show we decided to go to a park after dinner. It was
a beautiful night and we had fun being together. I forgot how pretty MO is too!

Grant went "fishing" for a crawfish...

Chase is making a rock tower....and Claire loved the playground and the water!!

The next day we went to Silver Dollar City. SUCH a fun place!

Here we are doing the cave tour:

We visited the petting zoo and all the other attractions.

Here's the boys getting wet on a water ride where you can shoot people, and mining for gems.

Claire loved the kiddie rides!

They have this huge ball area where you can cool off in the AC
and shoot foam balls at each other.

More rides!

The next day we visited this park before traveling to St Louis.
It was pretty with a waterfall and nature center and a tree house masters treehouse!

We finally made it to St Louis to see the Arch. It's a great city.

We took the tour to the top. The boys were SO nervous!!!
They had so much fun after we got to the top though. It wasn't nearly as scary as they imagined.

We got lost trying to find a pizza place....but finally found it!

We took a carriage ride around the city. It was fun to hear all about the old
buildings and the kids loved it. Claire loved petting the horse too!

We finally went and sat down near the arch to listen to the music and relax.
It was a hot day and there was still time until the fireworks.
We picked a great spot the kids could play and we had shade.

As it cooled off and got closer, we moved down to the Arch steps so we could have a great
view of the river and the fireworks.

Claire LOVES airplanes and helicopters and there was a yellow tour helicopter
landing every few minutes that we could see from the steps. She loved that!

Poor Claire didn't even wake up after the drive home. We got her ready for bed and everything
and she didn't even wake up. She was sooo good, and we all had a fabulous time. Happy 4th!!!
