halloween

october is an awesome month. chase LOVES halloween, so he can't WAIT
to get out all the halloween decorations. (i love it that chase loves halloween
and grant loves christmas.) chase was super excited to help me hang everything up.
(even though he doesn't look like it in this picture)

we have fun together during the days, and he really wanted to paint a pumpkin white,
so here we are painting in the garage one rainy day. he sort of got distracted from the pumpkin...

some super cool bug masks grandpa and grandma sent!

our ward trunk or treat was 2 weeks before halloween, so at this point
chase decided he was a scary green monster. he LOVES painting his face and
getting dressed up. (he'd often do it during the day when we weren't going
anywhere but the grocery store.)

everyone kept asking him if he was the hulk and he'd say "whose the hulk?"
then he'd yell loudly in their face. he's going to have tons of friends.

grant was a dragon (big surprise). grandma and grandpa sent us the hat, and i made
the wings and tail. grant chose the colors, hence why nothing matches. he didn't care though.
he loved it. and he loves dragons. and we love him. :)

the wings were a beast to make, so i was glad to see them getting used a lot.

chase is ALWAYS acting like a vampire, werewolf, monster, etc. you can see the scary
faces and growling extends even to dinner time. (even now, into november, he's still wearing a
black cape to the grocery store and the park.)

making halloween cookies...

a few days leading up to halloween it rained like CRAZY. the boys loved it, and we needed it,
but thank goodness it stopped a few hours before trick or treating.
it was really coming down.

our pumpkins! i love carving pumpkins. the boys think it's so gross. it amazes me every year
how boys that eat boogers and handle worms and bugs think a pumpkin inside is gross.

chase really doesn't want to put his hand in there, but he knows if he doesn't,
he won't get to carve one. and he really wants to have a say on what goes on his.

he finally gets a sock on his arm and finishes (his only nice pair of church socks of course!)

jason carved a dragon for grant....

and the adams family hand for chase.....

halloween dinner!

our pumpkins! with jason being spooky....

on halloween night chase wanted to be a green skeleton.
