we spent a week in georgia visiting my parents for our last summer trip.
we also had a great time seeing ken and kerri and their boys while we were there.
it's always fun to see family and play on the "farm" as grant says.
we did a lot of fun things.
we spent a lot of time shooting arrows into hay. jason finally got his belated
father's day gift. it was super fun, but much harder than it looks.
grant has a turn
grant decides dad's is too hard and makes his own.
chase had no interest in shooting, but would rather hang
from grandma's bridle rack and pretend he's in the olympics.
grant of course thought that looked pretty fun, so he had to try it.
he looks a little scared though!
the boys loved riding on grandma's tractor/mower with dad
grant is so into my mom's dogs. he smells like a dog the ENTIRE time we
are there. he helps feed them, give them water, and basically spends 100%
of his time outside with them. here is he helping my mom pick burrs out of bailey's fur.
now he's making a dragon nest with bailey's help. he LOVES that dog.
(and he has the wildest imagination)
chase refused to wear shoes outside. i have no clue how he survived.
my dad getting a turn...
the water park. the boys love my dad's gym where he swims because this is
what the outdoor pool looks like. complete with lazy river and everything. it's awesome.
and my dad is so nice to take us here every time we visit.
the maiden voyage!
we helped my dad take his boat out for the first time. it was so fun!
and the boat didn't sink or anything. :)
chase realizes jason is in the boat and he's not.
he starts screaming, "wait me! WAIT ME!"
and then, not listening to reason, starts to wade in the water to reach the boat
of course he can't reach it and starts bawling, and then gets a shoe stuck in the mud.
thank goodness grandma rescued him because i was laughing and taking pictures.
here's my dad's first trip in the boat! hooray!
so once chase gets in the boat, he won't get out. he'd be a great fishing buddy.
give him some snacks and he'd be in there for hours with no complaints.
on one of the last days, we had the kids babysat while we went
white water rafting on the ocoee river, just barely into tennessee.
it was an awesome experience. i'm so glad my mom bought the pictures!
they don't even do it justice. it was SO fun.
my mom's face kills me in this picture!
we had such a great time. i'm so glad our kids get to see their cousins and grandparents.
great memories were made. and i'm glad i didn't do the 15 hour drive myself this time.
until next year!
