Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving 2022 was a blast! We decided to break out of the mold and explore a new city. We met Karen's parents half way in Baton Rouge for the week. There was beautiful weather and Baton Rouge is such a cute little city. We toured the USS KIDD, where we discovered Grant is too tall to be in the Navy! We went the the LSU Rural life museum, which is this really cool outdoor museum with a lot of old buildings and structures. We toured the old capitol building, which had beautiful stained glass and was all decorated for Christmas. We went on a swamp tour, where we saw lots of birds and alligators. We cooked an epic Thanksgiving dinner away from home, and visited the LSU Art and Science museum. We also played a lot at our airbnb, which had soccer ball nets, a trampoline, a playset, and a pool table. We watched movies and football, ate lots of amazing Cajun food, and had a great time. We are so grateful for our family and all our blessings!

Happy Halloween!

We've had an incredible fall season. We visited a pumpkin patch, found some HUGE hulk pumpkins at our local grocery store, and decorated our house over fall break. We decided to stay here for fall break, and it was a great week - we watched movies, went on walks in the nice weather, played with friends, and taught Claire to ride without training wheels!

Then we got to start the Halloween season with volunteering at a Halloween special needs carnival for our community, which is a great event. We also carved pumpkins and attended the airshow, which was fabulous! We saw Claire at school in her Halloween parade and then got to trick or treat at night! Claire said she was going to EVERY. SINGLE. HOUSE. in our neighborhood. We do have a lot of houses that participate and our neighborhood is super busy. She did really well, but finally got tired after almost 2 hours of seeing all her friends and talking to everyone! The boys made it to almost every house, though they were much quicker than we were! Jason handed out candy in his scary clown mask and fog machine, scaring quite a few people. We probably have enough candy until Easter. Halloween was so fun!
