Family Pictures

We took family pictures in Austin in February. We had these really cute spring outfits to 

wear since usually winter in Texas is beautiful. Well a few days before, it was going to

be raining and 30 degrees! Since our friend was taking them from out of town we 

had to go and take them. So we rounded up some matching-ish coats and warmer

clothes and hoped for the best. The kids were so good - we were physically shivering

in most of these photos. But it's so fun to have memories of what our family is like in 2019!

Climbing

Even though it's been a pretty grey and rainy winter, there have been a few

sunny, dry days. Jason got into climbing/rappelling a few years back when he 

traveled overseas to Thailand. He's finally got enough gear to show the kids

a few tricks and have them practice rappelling with him, and they've had so

much fun. And hopefully are learning a few things too.  ;)

Claire especially will yell "up high!" and wave her arms around 

and ask to go up higher and higher! She's always first in line.

That girl has NO fear. She has so much fun being big like the boys

and doing everything they do. We also have fun hanging around

in the yard, riding bikes, using our RC cars, and having picnics.

Chase turns 9!

It's that time of year again for birthday celebrations! We have 2 birthdays in January

right after Christmas, so it's like the party and gifts and celebrations keep on going. 

Chase turned 9 this year! Wow! He's growing up so fast it seems. He's such a witty,

funny, imaginative kid. He loves pretending to do martial arts, tell jokes, play 

with legos, and build science projects. He's a great big brother, even when Claire

throws his legos around. He's teaching her to color and it's so cute.

He's very artistic and loves to paint, draw, write, and make movies with friends.

We're so glad he's a part of our family. Happy Birthday buddy!

First up presents and breakfast,

 then continuing the tradition of chuck-e-cheese

Grant did this after he fell asleep, and he thought it was hilarious

 

He was so nice to let Claire help him open his gifts....

He absolutely loves fire, and doesn't like cake, so he always asks for donuts instead.

And requests that he lights his own candles. Multiple times.

Gotta get all those birthday wishes in. 

We ate pizza and hamburgers this day and had lots of donuts. And candles.
