Claire's birthday Party and Homecoming

Claire finally had a birthday party! With Covid the past few years, this was her first time to have a party with friends. And she was so excited for weeks and weeks! We had it at her favorite park (her choice) with unicorns, everything pink and purple, and cupcakes and a piƱata. (Which was fun to let all the little kids try, and then have her brothers REALLY break it apart.) Claire is so social, so her favorite part was having all her friends there, of course. Her cheeks were so red (and it wasn't even that hot) from running from one friend to the next, trying to squeeze in as much time as possible with each one. She had so much fun!!

That same day, at night, was homecoming for Grant! I can't believe we're at the homecoming stages of life. AIIEE! He went with a group of friends and had a great time. In Texas, homecoming mums are a BIG deal. So we gathered all the supplies and he made his. I must say, he did a great job and it came out so good! Students exchange these the Friday before the dance and carry them around all day. Supposedly, the bigger the better! I think Grant's date ended up really liking what he made.

Claire is 6!!

Claire was sooooo excited for her birthday!!! She was excited for decorations, balloons, and presents, and a whole day where we do what she says. HA! It was such a fun day celebrating her. The boys really got into decorating and we had streamers hanging from all parts of the playroom! The night before we got her some HUGE rainbow and birthday helium balloons which I think might have been her favorite present. We ate donuts, opened presents, and then went to an indoor trampoline park. She had a blast and didn't want to leave. We then watched a movie and relaxed and she helped me make unicorn cupcakes which was so fun. We then had "chinese chicken" for dinner (General Tso's chicken) which is her favorite from a local restaurant, and then did candles and her cupcakes. She had a great day.

She is getting so big! She's tall for sure, but she's just exploded with her vocabulary and what she's can say and explain. She loves school and has thrived off learning. She loves reading, makes us read to her 10 books every day. She loves coloring and crafts too. She loves sensory activities and has a great imagination. (She's often making her stuffed animals do things, like wait in line for food, etc.) She makes friends with anyone and everyone she meets, no matter what your age is. She's so happy and fun, and always up to try new things, but also really likes to get her way. She's so determined and strong willed, which I know will be good for her in the future. She loves unicorns and rainbows but loves cars and bugs too. She loves to twirl around in twirly dresses and have bows and sparkles in her hair, but also loves to catch lizards and splash in mud puddles. She's very social, always wants to talk to everyone and be with people. She is so much fun and I hope she had a great day being spoiled by everyone.

We love her so much. Happy birthday Claire!
