West Texas and New Mexico Trip! When 6 months ago Jason and I thought it'd be a great time be fun to rent an RV and see a few national parks in West TX and New Mexico, we had no idea it'd be the perfect vacation for pandemic summer 2020. We got to see saw Guadalupe Mountains, Lincoln National Forest, Carlsbad Caverns, and more - with hardly anyone around. It was a truly fun experience. We hiked through the desert, saw butterflies and cacti galore, walked Devil's Hall, went 750 feet underground in a cave, tried to see 500,000 bats fly out of a cave (but probably only saw 100), did cannonballs in a desert spring, swam under a 150 ft waterfall, and even drove 9000 feet up to mountains where it was 57 degrees and raining.
So many adventures in one week!!
We did lots of hiking - and the kids were all such troopers. Especially Claire.
We had a great trip! It was hard to come home. Onto school starting soon!
