Rodeo!!

It's rodeo time in Houston!! One of our favorite times of the year. The best part
is the carnival, but it's always fun to eat crazy fried food, see animals, play games,
and have fun together. The day before we had tickets Karen sprained her ankle SUPER
bad. It was hugely swollen and black and blue. She didn't want to cancel so we borrowed
a wheelchair and wheeled her around! It was quite the experience. Even though she was so embarrassed, at the end othe day she was sooo grateful she didn't have to walk a few blocks
there and back.  She would have never made it.

We love to see all the fancy Ford trucks they have on display.
They are all open and it's so fun to pretend you're going to buy a $90,000 truck.

Claire and I would watch the boys go on carnival rides...

Claire loved all the things to see and watch...

Claire thought these fish were real! She was so excited for them.

She quickly realized the boys were winning stuffed animals! She loves stuffed animals.
She would hug every one and kiss it and hold on to it really tight.

She had quite the collection at the end of the day!

We had a great time. Thanks to Jason for pushing Karen in the wheelchair,
and Grant pushing Claire! We all make such a great team!

Family trip

As a present for my birthday, Jason surprised us with a trip for the whole family
to see our family in Utah! On a plane! It was so fun. It was a long weekend trip
and so worth it. The kids had so much fun seeing their cousins and some
deep fluffy white snow! Jason got to ski and we sledded and hung out with family.

It was a super great trip and I'm so thankful we got to go.

Utah hasn't gotten a lot of snow this year, but the week we were to come, it snowed
like crazy. And snowed every single day we were there. It was awesome! It
ended up being incredible skiing for Jason.

We played with icicles, sledded, drank hot chocolate, made snowmen, and played
non-stop outside. Claire was so cute all bundled up she could barely walk,
but she didn't care! She was such a trooper. She'd beg and beg to go back outside.

We had such a blast. It was such a fun weekend!
