grant told me he was going to "check" on chase when he heard him crying

i quietly followed him, and caught him climbing right into chase's crib with him

he then tickled, kissed, and snuggled right up to him

i don't know if i've ever seen chase smile so big

and even though i told grant it wasn't allowed,

i secretly thought it was the sweetest thing i've ever seen.

Surprise visit from Grandpa

on his way to Alabama, Grandpa's flight was grounded due to heavy thunderstorms in houston. we got to have a free weekend with Grandpa! So off we went to Brazos Bend State Park--home of the American alligator.

right next to us on the trail--he'd move his head as we walked by; ready to jet out of the water at us!



free activity of the day--teaching about crayfish and how to catch and identify them. FUN!
Grant got to catch some in a bin and got a little too brave . . . lol
